Telescopic Handler
The Industrial Telescopic Handler course is designed for the operator who requires theoretical and practical instruction at basic level, in operating this equipment in an indoor / outdoor industrial environment.
It is also applicable to those experienced operators who require refresher training.

Course content:
• Understand the risks involved in operating a Telescopic Handler.
• Understand the legal requirements involved in lifting operations.
• Identify the basic construction, purpose and function of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges.
• How to carry out all pre-use and running checks.
• Operate and travel the equipment with and without loads over varying terrain, ensuring stability and control.
• Set up and lift various loads within the full working range of the equipment.
• Place and retrieve loads accurately from various heights / lifting points.
• Place the crane in an out of service condition.
Duration: The duration of the course is between 1 – 5 days dependent on experience with a maximum training ratio of 3 students to 1 instructor. (See Training Info).
Venue: Can be carried out at our training school in Eastleigh or at an employer’s premises. (See training Info).
Assessment: At the end of the course students will undergo a formal written test on all theoretical subjects covered and a practical assessment on their basic skills.
Accreditation: NPORS or LETS certificate
